Tonight on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Joseph Farah alleged that Florida senator Marco Rubio is ineligible to serve as vice president, saying he’s “not a natural-born citizen. We’ve been through this with Obama now for four years.”
Farah, the editor of WorldNetDaily.com, drove much of the controversy over President Barack Obama‘s birth certificate, claiming the president also was ineligible to serve because of where he was born.

Well said, Joseph Farah. I find Hannity's comment ("That is not going to work") interesting. He makes it sound as if the natural born citizen argument is more of a tactic than a requirement of the US Constitution.

Joseph Farah, is, the informed one and has the courage to speak the reality. Also, I believe he is correct in saying that the Republicans will lose 10% of the Republican vote. I'm one of them. We are tired of both political parties shoving this eligibility issue under the political correctness carpet and the media overlooking this all important Constitutional concern!

If they pick Rubio for VP it could be the worst thing for Obama. All the lawsuits begin again to keep him off the ballot. They will fight it, but I don't think they will just blow off court. Therefore, it will go to court and once again the argument of who exactly who is a NBC will be sought.
If this happens look for Obama to pay Rubio's legal fees. The last thing he can have is a ruling that NBC means two citizen parents on US soil.
If Rubio is ruled ineligble it would have to apply to Obama as well.
I had a crazy idea before. Could one run for president and sue to keep one's self off the ballot for not being a NBC just to make sure that the case goes through court?
Anonymous 10:04pm, rather than have someone who is ineligible run and sue himself, that candidate could instead file a petition for a declaratory judgment from the US Supreme Court with regard to his eligibility. This is what McCain should have done, and it is what Rubio could do if nominated for VP.
Rubio is just as "corrupt" as the rest of them. If Rubio was an Honest upright citizen, he should announce to the public that he is not eligible to be President, or Vice-President. The fact that he avoids questions on the subject tells you he is dis-honest. I hope they all rot in hell. If you acknowledge the Constitution can make a popular Republican ineligible, then you have to acknowledge that Obama can be ineligible, isn't that the real problem? On the other hand, we believe if you're going to recognize, and enforce, ineligiblity on Obama, you have to do it for everyone. That's the way the rule of law is supposed to work, without discrimination.

Didn't Steven Craig try to get the courts to declare him a natural born citizen and they all declined right up to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court will never give a declaratory Judgement because they would be stating an opinion which they won't do. You need a case or controversy.
McCain did it right, he ran for President, if anyone challenged his eligibilty in court than it could make it to the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, no one could get past the standing issue.

Rubio talks a conservative game like Reagan, more so than GW Bush ever did and look how much the Democrats and the media hated Bush. They would likewise hate Rubio every bit as much as Bush. Do you think that if they would have discovered that Bush was ineligible to hold the office that they would have swept it under the table? No they would have carped on it 24/7 until he resigned. Then why would they do it for Rubio? They wouldn't they would run him out on a rail. Bringing this up now is saving Rubio a future impeachment and embarrassment from the Democrats. The people ought to understand...when we are dealing with the Party who always wants to "make things fair" - nothing ever is. There is two sets of rules one for Dems the other for Republicans.
But from a Democrat perspective for the election of 2012...having Rubio as the Veep pretty much cancels out any talk of the NBC issue. Exactly what they want. That's why Beckel's seemingly unplanned statement "they would be fools not to" was totally planned... Rubio is part of the campaign strategy to get Obama re-elected.
I emailed Rubio a long time ago urging him to publicly put to rest once and for all any speculation about him being a prospective GOP running mate because he is not a NBC. I also called his Rayburn office on the Hill. (Whether his office staff actually passed along my input, who can say.) As bright as he is, Rubio well knows the Constitution is not amended by 'rising star' status or by some supposed collective, feels-good tacit agreement in a given election season.
Hannity has a long-standing man-crush on Rubio, but it's his cowardice and hypocrisy in feigning love of the Constitution which makes him such a spineless little worm.
