Several officials have said that BHO was born in HI and that they have the proper documentation...but NONE have verified the information on the BC is what is on file. The fact is that the records on file COULD say that he was born at home. They COULD say that he was born overseas and registered in HI pursuant to the laws at the time. The newspaper articles are generated when a birth is reported to the HDOH...it doesn't mean the birth occurred in a hospital or even in the state necessarily. If the family claimed he was born at home...whether he really was born at home or in a foreign country...the registration would trigger a birth announcement. There have even been birth announcements in HI newspapers up to a year after the actual birth occurred. This DOES NOT PROVE he was born in the country.
And nobody is disputing he lived in HI when he attended high school. Nice attempt at a straw man though. You guys are getting desperate methinks.

States do allow challenges - but since the mechanism for qualifying for the Presidency go through the Electoral College and through Congress, states don't have the ability via the Constitution to do anything.
And yes, we do require verification for qualification for other jobs. But this jobs verification for employment goes through the Constitution. To change this, you'll have to go through the amendment process. (It's outlined in the document.)

Actually, Georgia election law MANDATES that when a candidate's eligibility to be on the ballot is challenged the burdon is the candidate to prove they are eligible which just a couple months ago led to a Georgia Administrative Law Judge ordering Obama and/or his appointed legal representative to appear before him in Court with a certified copy of his long-form birth certificate. However, even that was fruitless as neither Obama or an attorney representing him showed up yet the Judge, in direct violation of Georgia election law, ruled him eligible nonetheless.

First - no the burden of proof isn't mandated - in fact, the judge ended up holding the burden of proof the plaintiff. So you're wrong.
Secondly, the judge never ordered the birth certificate to be produced. In fact, he never even ordered Obama to appear, he simply denied the motion to quash the subpoena.

Below is the full text of the letter from President Barack Obama’s attorney, Michael Jablonski of Atlanta, declaring that he will no longer participate in administrative court hearings on a challenge to Obama’s spot on Georgia’s presidential primary ballot.
In essence, Jablonski is putting the onus on Secretary of State Brian Kemp, a Republican, to intervene and bring a halt to the circus. Jablonski includes a copy of Obama’s live birth certificate."

Obama was sued in small claims court for fraud in 2009. The plaintiff was William Spencer Connerat III. The lawsuit was heard in Pinellas County Small Claims Court on May 5, 2009.
The lawsuit is Connerat v Obama.
Obama won, the suit was dismissed.

“This pResident and his administration in my view represent the greatest set of law-breakers that have run the federal government in our lifetimes.
The fact is, pResident Obama and his appointee’s have ignored federal laws, they’ve ignored binding rulings of federal courts, and they’ve ignored the limits on their power mandated by the Constitution.”

“Well, there’s two things going on here. We compiled all of these violations of the law that we’re all contending with around the country, to make the point that American’s need to understand fully what’s at stake in November, if they choose to vote to re-elect this pResident.
AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT’S AT STAKE – IS THE RULE OF LAW ITSELF. ‘Cause I wasn’t kidding with the statement that you ran there before, WE’RE TALKING ABOUT THE LEVEL OF LAW-BREAKING IN THIS ADMINISTRATION.
These aren’t just disputes about, “Well you see it one way, and we see it another way.” For instance, take the FCC, the Federal Communications Commission went into try to regulate the Internet.
A COURT TOLD THEM IN AN ORDER, “You don’t have the authority to do that.” They went back in the same year and said, “Well, we’re going to do it anyway!!!!!” IN THE FACE OF A COURT ORDER THAT THEY DIDN’T APPEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These are “the pResident’s” appointee’s!!!!!
In that instance, it isn’t just their opinion versus some other lawyer, in my case an attorney general, IT’S — A COURT HAS RULED, AND THEY HAVE IGNORED THE RULING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And so now some private parties are going back to court with them over that. WE’RE GOING TO HELP THOSE PRIVATE PARTIES FROM OUR PERSPECTIVE TO RE-ESTABLISH THE RULES OF LAW THERE.
We can rattle off examples from the EPA which I’ve taken to calling the “Employment Prevention Agency” because they’re so good at that, BUT THEY HAVE VIOLATED THE LAW.
THESE ARE NOT POLICY DIFFERENCES, THESE ARE VIOLATIONS OF THE LAW. And the pResident has created a corporate culture in his administration, that is very comfortable not merely pushing the boundaries, but completely trampling them, be they constitutional or legal.”

[...] [A]nd the EPA came in and said, “OH NO, YOU’RE GOING TO DO IT OUR WAY, OR NO WAY!!” AND THE FEDERAL COURTS HAVE KNOCKED THEM BACK. THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW OVER AND OVER IN STATES ACROSS THE COUNTRY.”
